March 22, 1964 - February 19, 2019 John Michael Haring, 54, passed away on Tuesday, February 19th 2019 at Providence Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City.

SUBMITTED PHOTO - John Michael Haring John Michael Haring, 54, passed away on Tuesday, February 19th 2019 at Providence Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City. He was the husband of Deborah Ann Haring and they shared 23 years of marriage together.

Born in Rapid City South Dakota, he was the son of David Raymond Haring and Patricia Ruth Brown. He graduated Gladstone High School and attended California State University, Pomona. He worked in Information Technology Systems throughout his career and owned a business which created child locating devices and software systems at resorts and theme parks.

He was an avid volunteer and head official for the Canby Swim Club, The Gators, and was also a valued volunteer for regional and state swimming organizations. He will be remembered for his dedication to fairness toward all swimmers regardless of affiliation, and his drive to mentor other volunteers. His countless hours of service, selfless heart, and volunteer leadership have all made a lasting impact on the entire swimming community throughout Oregon which will continue to be felt for years to come.

He is survived by his wife Deborah (Debby) Haring; his children Michael David Haring, and Kaitlyn Rae Haring; his parents Pat Brown and David and Karen Haring; and his siblings Tasha Jones, Kimberly Steerman, Sandra Kralovec, Sherry Brown, Rick Brown, Derek Morgan, Justin Morgan, and Karissa Dishon; and his nieces and nephews, Lindsay Grenfell, Jarod Shockley, Preston Shockley, Cameron Davis, Alyssa Davis, Lauren Kralovec, Anna Megale, Carrie Kralovec, Brandon Shockley, Maegan Shockley, Miles Jackson, Britta Jackson, Halley Brown, Sydney Morgan, Bailey Morgan, Sarah Chambers, Julian Zirkle, along with multiple Great Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by his Step Father Darrel Brown and his Uncle James Haring.

A celebration of life will be held on March 18th at 6:00 pm in the Main Pavilion at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds and Event Center 694 NE 4th Ave Canby, OR 97013. Food and beverages will be provided after the service with time for remembrances and sharing.

In lieu of flowers to honor John's commitment to youth swimming, we ask that anyone wishing to do something in his name donate to: Canby Swim Club-The Gators P.O. Box 21 Canby, Oregon 97013. Please note that the donation is in memory of John Haring to be used for scholarships.
