September 23, 1947 to December 1, 2021 - James Sundness Meyers was born September 23, 1947 in Jackson Heights, New York.

James Sundness Meyers was born September 23, 1947 in Jackson Heights, New York. As a child he and his family moved to the Bay area, then later to Milwaukie, Oregon. Jim attended Portland State University and received his Bachelors degree in Business in1969. He joined the Army National Guard of Colorado in 1969 and served until 1976 when he was honorably discharged. Jim married Myrna in June of 1974 and enjoyed employment throughout the years at Coats & Clark Yarn Co., Concannon, Tumac, Disdero and Avison Lumber. Jim and Myrna moved to the Molalla area in 1981. As an astute entrepreneur Jim started several lumber brokerage business while maintaining membership and involvement in many organizations such as Stronger Families for Oregon, Board of Directors of the Pregnancy Care Center, The Maple Grove School Board, The Oregon State Defense Force, and Army MARS.

Jim cared deeply for his country, his community and his business associates, through his greatest devotion was first to Jesus and then to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Margaret Meyers and is survived by his wife Myrna, son Matt (Lacey) of Molalla and daughter Marilee (John) of Condon.

Jim has five grandsons and one granddaughter and is also survived by his brother, Mark Meyers and sister, Peg Moore, both of whom reside in Molalla.

A funeral service for Jim is scheduled for Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Molalla Nazarene Church at 2:00 pm. Donations in Jim's memory can be made to Canby Pregnancy Care Center.
