Sharon Ann Russell
Sharon Ann Russell passed away Dec. 19 at her home in Redmond at the age of 68. Sharon was born Dec, 12, 1949, in Auburn, California, to Gilbert and Dorothy Ticoulat.
She lived in California with her three sisters, Linda, Diane and Pamela, until 1965 when they moved to Prineville to live with their dad, step-mom Phyllis Ticoulat and sisters, Larilu and Joy. Sharon graduated from Crook County High School in 1968 and attended college at Oregon State University for two years.
She met Joe Russell, and they were married on Nov. 3, 1972. They resided in Redmond together for 45 years. Sharon and Joe had two children, Jeremy and Aaron Russell.
Whatever line of work Sharon chose, she dedicated herself to it and made many friends. Her early love of horses sent her on a path of many rodeos and barrel races as she served as Princess of the Crooked River Roundup. She had a knack for numbers and spent many years as a bookkeeper.
Sharon will be remembered for her love of long walks, trips to the beach with her sisters, hunting and fishing trips with Joe, and any poker machine she could find along the way. Her home was always an open door to family and friends. She and Joe hosted many family holidays, birthdays and other celebrations.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; sons, Jeremy and Aaron; daughter-in-law, Amber; and four grandchildren, DemiJo, Delaney, Bailey and Bralen, all who she loved very much.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
The Russell family would like to thank Hospice of Redmond for the wonderful care they gave Sharon during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Hospice of Redmond, 732 SW 23rd St., Redmond, OR 97756.
