Mae Rose Lee
Mae Rose Lee was born Dec. 22, 1934, in Tulare, California, to William Hugh Crookshanks and Eliza Juanita Reddick Crookshanks. She passed away suddenly Dec. 26, 2017, in Hanford, California, at the age of 83.
Services were held in Corcoran, California, on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018.
Mae graduated high school in 1952. She attended Dental Assistant School in San Francisco for two years.
On Aug. 27, 1954, Mae married Gerald Lee. They made their home in Corcoran while Gerald worked for J.G. Boswell Company.
In April 1966, they moved to Prineville with the Boswell Company.
Mae was a very loving and supporting wife. She was very involved with children's activities. She was a 4-H leader, and she enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and raising animals. She even had a pet deer, "Bandit." Mae enjoyed spending time with her family and brother, Bill, playing slot machines and Bingo.
In 1999, Mae moved back to Corcoran and then to Hanford in 2006. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the mobile home park where she lived. She was very active in Bingo, Bunco and other activities.
Mae is survived by her son, Jerry Lee, and wife, Bobbi, of Oregon City; daughter, Darla, and husband, Dave Rogers, of Hanford, California; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mae was preceded in death by her dad and mom, Hugh and Juanita Crookshanks; her beloved husband, Gerald Lee; daughter, Evamae Lee; sister, Betty Reguero; and brother, Bill Crookshanks.
