Darla Dell Sather, 66, of Prineville, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.
Darla was born May 20, 1952, in Bremerton, Washington, to James Elmer and Dora Verdell (Allen) Thompson. She graduated from Reynolds High School in 1971. Darla was a chef in her working days at the Elks, Mom's Restaurant and Lakeside Restaurant.
She judged American Dairy Goat Association and 4-H goats and owned her Nubian and Lamancha goats since 1976. Darla was an avid painter and braided many a goat collar for the Crook County Fair. She was a 4-H leader for 25-plus years. She loved cooking and baking for everyone.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Dora Thompson, and her sister, Robin Thompson.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Eric Sather; sons, Adam (Tana) Sather and Nathan (Rebecca) Sather; and grandchildren, Emily, James, Seth, Benjamin and Caden.
