Dick liked to spend time with his family and enjoyed a good family dinner. Dick was a member of the Prineville Band of Brothers and a lifetime member of the VFW post 1412.
Dick is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 66 years; son, Donald (Kimberly) Bauer; daughter, JoAnn Bauer and Elaine Mueller; grandson, Jason (Carrie) Bauer; and five great step-grandchildren, all of Prineville. Dick is also survived by his beloved cousins, Ray Bauer, Ed Bauer, Jim Bauer, Juanita Bauer, Eldon Spady and many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Helen Lang and Virginia Wallace.
The family would like to express a special thanks to everyone from the Prineville Hospice for taking such good care of Dick and the Prineville Band of Brothers. Their help and kindness helped us all during this difficult time.
