He joined the Merchant Marines of the US Navy for two years and then the US Coast Guard for over 20 years before retiring from the military. While Larry was in the service, he was a BT1 (Boiler Tender First Class) and he retired as an E-6 (Petty Officer). He loved spending time with his family and really appreciated that Jerry and his son, Max, moved back to Prineville to spend time with him. Larry was a member of the River of Life for All Nations Church and really enjoyed the "Healing School" on Wednesdays at noon. He also enjoyed rides in the country, just exploring. Larry loved to travel and went all over the world during his military career.
