CENTRAL OREGONIAN - Lucy Ellen (Brummer) WeiserLucy Ellen (Brummer) Weiser, age 78, passed away from lung cancer Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at Celia's house in Medford, Oregon.

Lucy grew up in Prineville surrounded by her siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles. She attended Crook County High School, class of 1962. She married Ken Weiser in 1961, and eventually moved to Grants Pass, Oregon. Later in life, Lucy moved to Beaverton, then back to Grants Pass for her final days.

Lucy worked several different jobs, but her favorite was her career as a school bus driver. She became a driver trainer and participated in many school bus rodeos. She won many awards for her years of service, including Driver Trainer of the Year for Beaverton School District.

Lucy enjoyed cooking, crafting, sewing and knitting. She was very involved in her church. She often provided hospitality and sang.

She is survived by her daughters, Gina (Mickey) Bouck of Grants Pass and Kimberly (Geoff) Khalil of Kennewick, Washington; son, Ted (Janet) Weiser of Beaverton; sisters, Nancy Shackelford and Patty Godwin; seven grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces nephews, and adopted family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at Gateway Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4335 Williams Highway, Grants Pass, Oregon.
