Kama Lynn Raymond passed away peacefully at her home in Astoria, Oregon on August 19, 2022. Kama was born March 9, 1962 to Donna (Demaris) and Rich Raymond in Prineville, Oregon. She frequented Crook County High School and went to work. Kama had wide array of jobs. She was an excellent cook, bartender, construction flagger, commercial fisherman, mom, grandma, daughter and sister. She is survived by her life partner, Steve Davis; son, Kash; daughter, Melissa; four grandchildren; brother, Cass (Beverly); sister, Jane; and mother, Donna.

Kama loved cooking for family and friends. She loved gardening and helping anyone in need. She grew up in Prineville, moved to Salem and worked at the Oregon State Hospital until it closed. She went to work as a construction flagger, which led her to Astoria, Oregon. In 2006, Kama met Steve Davis while she was tending bar at the Workers Bar, in Astoria. After meeting Steve, she became a commercial fisherman on his boat for salmon and tuna for five years. She was known as the "Tuna Killing Queen." She later went to work at the Astoria Senior Center, when the long hours took a toll.

Kama will be greatly missed. A private service will be held by family. There are many stories told about her endeavors. Anyone who met Kama has a story to tell. Kama was preceded in death by her father, Rich; sister, Valley; brother, Brett; grandmother, Evie Bryant; stepfather, Don Demaris; and her best friend, Debbie Williams.
