Mitchell Curtis Taylor
On November 27, 2020 Mitchell Curtis Taylor passed away of a massive heart attack at the age of 60. Mitch was born on June 5, 1960 in Fallon, Nevada to William and Iris Taylor. He attended a one room schoolhouse in southeast Oregon. He received his degree from Willamette University in chemistry where he played football and wrestled.
Mitch married Beth Kleen Taylor in 1992. They had two children. Grant and Margaret Taylor. While working for Intel, Applied Materials and later his own consulting firm, Mitch made global contributions to his specialty of Ion Implantation, where he had numerous patents and awards. Mitch was never more passionate than coaching his children for Lake Oswego Youth Football and Lake Oswego Softball. Plus, he actively served on numerous leadership boards, including the Multnomah/Washington County CASA.
Mitch is preceded in death by his mother Iris Taylor Walton and father, William Taylor. Mitch also is preceded in death by his daughter Lusiina Taylor from a prior marriage. He is survived by his former wife Beth; their children Grant and Margaret; brothers Mike (Ree) and Scott (Paula); and nieces and a nephew. Due to COVID his service will be scheduled later. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to your county's CASA or a charity of your choice.
