The Pioneers rack up 851 points to outdistance second-place Molalla and Wilsonville.

In the second Oregon High School Equestrian Team event of the year — held March 17-20 at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds in McMinnville — the Pioneers rolled to victory with 851 points, while Molalla came in second with 720 points, followed by Wilsonville with 514 points. Oregon City won five of the seven team events at the meet, including team Canadian flags, IHOR, Working Pairs, Drill and Team Versatility.

The complete team scoring was: Oregon City 851, Molalla 720, Wilsonville 314, Colton 261, Lake Oswego 239, Lakeridge 190, West Linn 25.

First-place team finishers from Oregon City were: IHOR — Eva Howard, Anna Hamersly, Joie Ellington, Braelee Borden; Drill — Hamersly, Ellington, Borden, Brook Simpson, Brooklin Olson, René Haltiner; Team Versatility — Hamersly, Howard, Grace Duyn, Hailey Mongrain; Working Pairs — Hamersly, Ellington; Team Canadian Flags — Hamersly, Borden, Olson, Mongrain.

Pioneers who took first place in individual events were: Duyn — Showmanship, Hunt Seat, Western; Hamersly — In Hand Trail, Trail, Saddleseat, Steer Daubing;

Lake Oswego winners were: Grace Rich, Hunt Seat Over Fences; Alexandra Boot, Working Rancher;

Wilsonville-West Linn winners were: Kaylee Lindstrom, Grace Nelson, Paris Chamberlin, Meagan Harris, Freestyle Fours.

Wilsonville winners were: Paris Chamberlin, Harris, Team Sorting.
