Lending assistance to those lacking the basic necessities, St. Vincent de Paul selected as this year's beneficiary

Join Santa and his elves to kick off the holiday season with the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce at the annual Christmas Giving Breakfast from 7-9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Monarch Hotel.

Since 2012, this event has given over $37,000 to nonprofit chamber members. As is customary, one charity will receive proceeds generated during the event.

This year's recipient, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, was selected by the Chamber Ambassador Committee, a group of volunteers also collecting raffle prizes donated by the local business community to support the fundraising efforts.

St. Vincent de Paul's mission is to provide a way to help people escape the cycle of poverty, lending assistance to those lacking the basic necessities of life.
