Jacob Richard Rogers led police and sheriff's deputies from Clackamas to Gladstone after refusing to pull over while speeding

COURTESY PHOTO - An Estacada resident led police in a chase from Clackamas to Gladstone.An Estacada man was taken into custody after leading law enforcement officers on a high-speed chase from Clackamas to Gladstone.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office reported that at about 10 a.m. Sunday, March 7, 21-year-old Jacob Richard Rogers of Estacada was seen by a sheriff's deputy driving a 2004 Dodge Interpid at high speed near Interstate 205 and Highway 212. The sheriff's office reported that the Intrepid did not stop when the deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over. Gladstone Police used road spike strips to damage the Interpid's tires as it sped through town.

Deputies said Rogers' car came to a halt on Strawberry Lane and the driver fled on foot. Rogers was taken into custody without incident a short time later. He was lodged in Clackamas County Jail on charges of attempting to allude and reckless driving.
