This month is Taste of Oregon City to highlight downtown restaurants. COURTESY PHOTO: LARA JANZEN - McAnulty & Barry's back bar was built and shipped from New England around the late 1800s or early 1900s.

"Now, more than ever, our restaurants need the support of our community," said Liz Hannum, executive director of the Downtown Oregon City Association. "Dine in, take out, order delivery — every dollar helps our restaurants keep their doors open and their staff employed."

Hannum said there are many ways to win by participating in Oregon City's taste month. You can take a selfie and tag @downtownoregoncity or #tasteofoc to be entered in to DOCA's daily gift card giveaway thanks to the generosity of Guild Mortgage and Kelli Upkes Realty (no purchase necessary).

For every $10 you spend at downtown restaurants this month, you can upload your receipt to and get one entry into the grand prize. Hannum said the grand prize consists of about $1,500 in Oregon City experiences, contributed by various businesses through vouchers and gift certificates.

Finally, through DOCA's Double up and Dine program, you can dine in, take out or order delivery Sunday through Wednesday and get two grand-prize entries for every $10 you spend.

Gift card winners will be chosen every day of July and the grand prize winner will be announced Aug. 1.
