North Clackamas Chamber members organize Christmas Giving Breakfast to benefit nonprofit organization

Children's Center's mission is to work with the community to end child abuse and neglect across the county through assessment, treatment and prevention to build a world where all children feel safe, valued and heard. In a speech thanking chamber members for their support, Karen Rush, Children's Center executive director, used her admiration of Fred Rogers' "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" TV show to illustrate how everyone needs help sometimes and communities can come together to support those who are most vulnerable.PMG PHOTO: RAYMOND RENDLEMAN - Rory Dunnaback and Mike Drennan from the North Clackamas Chamber's board of directors helped Chamber CEO Laura Edmonds (right) present a check to Karen Rush, executive director of Clackamas County's Children's Center.

Clackamas County's Children's Center was selected as this year's Christmas Giving beneficiary by the Chamber Ambassador Committee, a group of volunteers who collected raffle prizes to support the fundraising efforts. Raffle prizes were donated by Clackamas County business owners.
