Keep Denyse McGriff on the Oregon City commission
Denyse McGriff is an engaged citizen of Oregon City and an honest, incredibly hard-working city commissioner. For these reasons and so many more, I heartily endorse Denyse to maintain her role as City Commissioner Position 2.
I've been so pleased with Denyse's caring leadership, honesty and work ethic as a commissioner since she was appointed after a vacancy in March 2019.
During her tenure she — and the collaborative team of city commissioners — have responsively and transparently guided us through extraordinary situations: a pandemic, local and national conversations about racial justice, economic challenges, a wildfire evacuation and a mayoral recall.
Denyse embodies grace as she navigates these challenges with Oregon City's citizens as her North Stars.
I enjoy running into Commissioner McGriff often at Oregon City events. From Unite Oregon City's Juneteenth Rally to the OC Public Library's Building Bridges: Conversations about Race series, Denyse demonstrates her love of history, commitment to equity and justice, and impressive knowledge of all things Oregon City, and I always learn something new when Denyse speaks.
I encourage you to learn more about her numerous contributions to our city, and cast your vote for her this fall. We are in good hands with Denyse.
