Winnie Thomas, 89: I make this public plea for my own children and grandchildren

Here I sit, at age 89, in my comfortable retirement community. In this first letter to the editor, I make this public plea for my own children and grandchildren, and to all willing to listen:

Let us urge our U.S. senators and Rep. Kurt Schrader to come to the forefront in support of the Build Back Better Act. Built on significant changes for clean energy, the details of our president's plan will result in a much stronger economy and also reduce pollution. At my age I can only watch as our children deal with a climate going berserk. But maybe it isn't too late for significant change. Let us all speak and vote for climate change legislation now.
