The Spiral Gallery is home to a thriving art scene in Estacada
The Spiral Gallery — the very first art gallery in Estacada — has been supporting local artists for over 18 years.
The Spiral Gallery was started in 2002 by Jami Berry because she wanted to showcase the work of the many talented artists in the Estacada area. In 2004, Berry turned the gallery into a co-op with participation by all the members.
The Spiral Gallery has a featured artist every month whose works are displayed in the Little Gallery. In the past and in the future, the featured artist is introduced with a First Friday reception, often held in conjunction with other downtown business where the public is invited to enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres and music.
Kolieha Bush, the current president of the co-op, said that these events will begin again as soon as the state allows.

"We are really looking forward to First Fridays again," she said, "but we have had a featured artist every month in the gallery. For June, we have Brenda Scott, who is a potter."
The gallery has a wide variety of works ranging from jewelry to paintings to pottery to clothing. Every piece is made by a local artist living in or around Estacada. The gallery is open from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.
Bush said that they hope to be able to offer art classes in conjunction with The Artsmith — a local artist supply store — again soon.
"Everything changes month to month," she said.
The Spiral Gallery also has an Etsy Shop with products by their artists for sale. Visit the Spiral Gallery in Estacada and see for yourself the vibrant local art scene.
