Upcoming event

• The Northwest Film Center is showing "Yours in Sisterhood," the story of Ms. magazine, which has been crucial reading for generations of feminists and tackling issues affecting women. The movie details how Director Irene Lusztig traveled around the United States from 2015-17, asking women from a myriad of backgrounds to read aloud select letters to the editor — published and unpublished, celebratory and critical — from the years 1972-80 to elicit reactions. It screens at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, May 31-June 1, and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Whitsell Auditorium, 1219 S.W. Park Ave. Tickets: $5-$10, www.nwfilm.org.
