Portland musician Tony Furtado, Stephanie Schneiderman, Scott Law and more are featured in Furtado's ninth annual Thanksgiving Concert Bash at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Mississippi Studios, 3939 N. Mississippi Ave.

The Banjo Killers, made up of Furtado and Law with special guests, take the stage at 5 p.m., and then Schneiderman with the Tony Furtado Band play at 8:30 p.m.

• Portland's Garcia Birthday Band celebrates the vast repertoire of the late Jerry Garcia and The Grateful Dead. They'll play their "A 50th Anniversary Celebration" show at Aladdin Theater, 3017 S.E. Milwaukie Ave., 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. Tickets: $20,

• Illenium, aka Nick Miller, stops at Veterans Memorial Coliseum on his "The Ascend" tour, 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. Tickets: starting at $46, parking $13, The album "Ascend" elevates his signature sound with majestic melodies, intriguing instrumentation and genre-defying songcraft. The latest single is "Good Things Fall Apart" with Jon Bellion. His single "Crashing" with Bahari has amassed 40 million streams and another single, "Pray" with Kameron Alexander, has been on an HBO soundtrack.

• PJCE Records presents pianist Kerry Politzer at The 1905, 830 N. Shaver St., 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. He'll perform two sets of old and new compositions, including from her 2014 album "Below the Surface." Tickets: $10,

• Friends of Chamber Music welcomes Takacs Quartet, a group that's 45 years old, to Lincoln Performance Hall, 1620 S.W. Park Ave., 7:30 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 2-3. Tickets: $32-$57,

• Turkish darkwave/post-punk band She Past Away released their new album, "Disko Anksiyete," in May. They'll play the Star Theater, 13 N.W. Sixth Ave., 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. Originating in Turkey and adapting Joy Division stylings and more, they sing in their native tongue. Tickets: $30,
