John's Marketplace SE is located at 3560 S.E. Powell Blvd, in the former Original Taco House building. The outdoor patio perfect for today's sunny weather and a food can be purchased at the food cart pod next door. As with the Multnomah Village location, John's Marketplace features nearly 2,000 packaged beer and wines plus numerous hand-selected rotating beers on tap. They tap out quickly meaning customers will be able to enjoy different beers each time they stop by.

Brothers Paul and Rob Petros have a history in the grocery business. They grew up in Southern Oregon where their father owned grocery stores. After working for companies like Fred Meyer and Zupan's Market, Paul spent 14 years working for Columbia Distributing where he became acquainted with the specialty beer side of high-end craft and import beers. To say he is well-versed in beer is an understatement.

The Petros brothers bought John's Marketplace in Multnomah Village a few years back and have forged a locally owned, welcoming space for beer and wine lovers to enjoy. John's Marketplace has been Portland's leading beer market with knowledgeable staff and hundreds of selections; a second location is exactly what beer-loving Portland has been needing.

"Besides Rob and me, we have a very solid staff that can help you find the beers you want, and beers you remember. What separates us from other places is that we maintain a relationship with heritage beers. Those are the beers that helped establish the beer industry we have today, beers like Moosehead. Of course, we have thousands of other beers too, including the new and popular brands," said co-owner Paul Petros.

For those wanting beer to go, John's Marketplace in both Multnomah Village and in Southeast Portland have growlers and survival boxes with a combination of 12 selected beers including light and dark.

Hours of operation are now 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Survival boxes of 12 beers are $37.50 for pick up/$43.50 for delivery. Orders must be placed by noon Thursday for Friday pick up or delivery.
