"American Idol" will be holding open call virtual Zoom auditions around the country, with the Oregon segment to be conducted Friday, Aug. 26.

Hopefuls will audition face-to-face with an "American Idol" producer, and receive real-time feedback. (You'll have to wait to possibly get your shot in front of host Ryan Seacrest and judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.)

It's the third year in a row that "Idol" has done a live, virtual nationwide "Idol Across America" search for its next superstar. There'll actually be audition days for all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Visit http://www.americanidol.com/auditions for "Idol Across America" audition details, locations, full eligibility requirements, submission forms, terms and conditions. A check of the Oregon part of the website shows that spots are still available to register and be able to audition, as of 11 a.m. Wednesday.
