Baseball: Concordia University is one of 45 teams in the NAIA national tournament. The Cavaliers are seeded fifth in their five-team regional at Santa Claria, Calif. The Cavs' first game of the double-elimination tournament is 9 a.m. today against fourth-seeded Tabor (Kan.). The tourney runs through Monday. Concordia scored an upset victory in last week's NAIA West tournament, knocking off favored Menlo 4-3 in 10 innings in the final to improve to 28-26 overall and earn a spot in the national tourney. Concordia went 4-1 in the NAIA West tournament, with all four wins by one run and two wins in three games against Menlo.

Softball: Portland State, co-Big Sky regular-season champion with Idaho State, is in Pocatello, where ISU will play host to the four-team conference tournament through Saturday. PSU opens against No. 3 seed Southern Utah today at 3 p.m., with Idaho State meeting No. 4 Sacramento State in the nightcap. It's a double-elimination tourney, with the winner getting a spot in the NCAA tournament.

Oregon is at Arizona State, 7 p.m. The Ducks are second and third in the NCAA rankings. The Sun Devils are fifth in both polls. … UCLA, ranked 15th and 16th, is at Oregon State, 3 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks). ... UO is 45-7 overall and has clinched the Pac-12 title, with ASU and Washington tied for second at 14-7. UCLA is sixth (8-13) and OSU tied for seventh (7-14) out of nine teams.

Golf: PSU sophomore A Ram Choi tees off in the NCAA women's west regional, a three-day event at Stanford Golf Club. The Oregon Ducks are seeded 14th out of 24 teams.

Winterhawks: Game 5 of the Western Hockey League finals has Edmonton at the Rose Garden, 7 p.m. (CSNNW).

Baseball: Oregon is at Ohio State, 4 p.m. PT; Oregon State visits Stanford, 6:30 p.m.; and Portland plays at San Diego, 6 p.m. ... In the Pac-12, OSU (17-4) and Oregon (19-5) have distanced themselves from third-place UCLA (14-7). In the four major Division I polls, the Beavers are fifth in three and sixth in the other, and the Ducks are sixth in three and 10th in the other. ... Stanford is ranked 19th, 21st (in two polls) and 25th and is fifth in the conference at 11-10. ... Ohio State is 32-14 overall and unranked. The Buckeyes are third in the Big Ten. ... Portland (17-28, 8-10 West Coast Conference) are next to last in the WCC, while San Diego (28-21, 12-9) is third.

Softball: Oregon is at ASU, 5 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks); UCLA is at Oregon State, 1 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks).

In the 62-team D-III playoffs, sixth-ranked Linfield is the third seed in a six-team regional at Texas-Tyler (the No. 1 seed and No. 5-ranked team nationally). Linfield (36-6) opens the three-day, double-elimination tourney with a 2 p.m. PT game against fourth-seeded and No. 18-ranked Redlands. The Wildcats recently won the Northwest Conference title for the 10th year in a row.

Track and field: The Cascade Collegiate Conference championships begin a two-day run at Mt. Hood Community College. Concordia is going for its eighth consecutive men's title and seventh straight women's crown. First event today is 4 p.m. First event Saturday is 11 a.m.

Saturday, May 11

Baseball: Oregon is at Ohio State, noon PT; OSU is at Stanford, 2 p.m.; and Portland is at San Diego, 6 p.m.

Softball: Oregon concludes its series at Arizona State, 5 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks), and UCLA ends its weekend trio of games at OSU, 1 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks).

Track and field: The Pac-12 championships are at USC today and Sunday. Oregon's men are ranked fifth in the nation, with USC No. 8 and UCLA 14th. The Oregon women are No. 7, trailing Arizona (fifth) and ahead of three other Pac-12 teams in the top 14 (ASU, 9; UCLA, 12; Stanford, 14). … At Willamette University, the West Coast Invitational will include athletes from UP and OSU. The invite also has the decathlon and heptathlon competitions on Thursday and Friday.

Basketball: The Portland Chinooks (0-2) play host to the Vancouver Volcanoes (4-1) in an International Basketball League game at Eastmoreland Courts, 7:30 p.m.

Football: In women's football, the Portland Fighting Fillies (3-1) take on the Tacoma Trauma (0-4) at 5 p.m. at Milwaukie High, and the Portland Shockwave (2-2) are at home against the Everett Reign(2-2) at 6 p.m. at Hillsboro Stadium.

Sunday, May 12

Winterhawks: Game 6 of the Western Hockey League finals, if necessary, will start at 3 p.m. PT in Edmonton, with Portland facing the Oil Kings (CSNNW).

Timbers: Portland is at Jeld-Wen Field against Chivas USA, 2 p.m. (KPTV 12).

Thorns: Portland's National Women's Soccer League team (3-0-1) pays its second visit to the Chicago Red Stars (0-2-1 going into a Wednesday game) for a 3 p.m. PT game at Benedictine University Sports Complex. Portland won 2-0 at Chicago on April 27.

Baseball: Series wrap-ups have Oregon at Ohio State, 9 a.m.; Oregon State at Stanford, 1 p.m.; and Portland at San Diego, 6 p.m.

Track and field: The Pac-12 championships have their final day at USC's Crowell Field.

Monday, May 13

Winterhawks: If the WHL championship series comes down to a Game 7, it'll be on Rose Garden ice, with Portland and Edmonton facing off at 7 p.m. (ROOT).

Softball: The NAIA championships begin with Delta Park one of the host sites. Concordia is hosting a four-team, double-elimination regional that goes through Wednesday. The Cavaliers face league rival Corban at 11 a.m. today, with St. Xavier (Ill.) meeting MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) at 1:30 p.m.

Golf: The Oregon School Activities Association state prep tournaments are today and Tuesday. The 6A-5A boys tourney is at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis. The 6A-5A girls play at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks. The 4A-3A-2A-1A boys event is at Emerald Valley Golf and Resort in Creswell. The 4A-3A-2A-1A girls are at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond.

Warner Pacific College senior Andrew Johnson is entered in the NAIA tournament, which is today through Friday at Creekside Golf Club in Salem.

Tuesday, May 14

Baseball: WCC regular-season champion Gonzaga (31-14-1, 18-6 conference) plays at Oregon, 6 p.m., and Portland welcomes Washington to Joe Etzel Field, 3 p.m.

Golf: It's the final day of the OSAA high school state tournaments.

Wednesday, May 15

Baseball: Oregon takes on Gonzaga at PK Park, 6 p.m. ... Linfield brings the No. 1 national ranking into the NCAA Division III playoffs. The Wildcats (34-6) have won three straight Northwest Conference pennants.
