Noon PT — Portland Winterhawks defenseman Seth Jones could be the No. 2 overall pick, according to various reports (NBC Sports).

The Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers have the first two picks. Jones, Halifax forwards Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin and Finnish forward Aleksander Barkov are said to be a closely-rated top four, so stay tuned.

Hawks forwards Nic Petan and Oliver Bjorkstrand also are probable high picks.


1:30 p.m. — A three-game series at Hillsboro Ballpark concludes with Hillsboro vs, Salem-Keizer.

The visiting Volcanoes won 7-2 on Saturday to take a 2-0 lead and extend their season record over the Hops to 5-0.


1:10 p.m. PT — Portland’s women’s soccer team plays at FC Kansas City at Shawnee Mission District Stadium in Overland Park, Kan.

The teams drew there 1-1 on April 3, and Portland edged KC 4-3 at Jeld-Wen Field on June 6.

Noon — The PDL team from Portland visits the Victoria Highlanders (7-1-1, 22) for a game at Hare Field.

Auto racing

All day — The annual Portland Historic Races conclude with group races from 1 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. at Portland International Raceway. Two-time Indy 500 winner Al Unser Jr. is grand marshal. Warmups start about 10 a.m.
