The former University of Oregon tight end had a short but at times powerful run with the Ducks before leaving the team amid controversy on Oct. 7, 2013 and then being arrested Oct. 23 for alleged unlawful possession of cocaine and interfering with a Lane County police officer.

Lyerla caught three passes for 26 yards this season.

In his UO career, he totaled 34 receptions for 565 yards and 11 touchdowns.
