Jan. 26, 1992: Duckworth seeks reassurance

by: MIKE POWELL/GETTY IMAGES - KEVIN DUCKWORTHTrail Blazers center Kevin Duckworth is wondering about his role with the team after sitting on the bench throughout the fourth quarter of Portland's past three NBA games.

Cliff Robinson has been taking Duck's spot, and coach Rick Adelman says that is due mostly to defensive match-ups. Opponents have been putting a quicker lineup onto the court. The coach also notes that Duckworth has had a sore Achilles tendon.

Duckworth has started every game this season, but his averages of 10.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 26.7 minutes are down from 15.8, 6.6 and 31.0 the previous season.
