Qyntel Woods

(age 33)

Once upon a time, Woods was an up-and-coming player with the Trail Blazers, who drafted him in the first round out of Northeast Mississippi Community College.

The 6-8, 220-pound small forward, who attended Carver High in Memphis, Tenn., was the No. 21 pick overall of the 2002 NBA draft.

He played in 115 games over two seasons for Portland, averaging 3.1 points per game.

But off-the court problems, including an animal cruelty conviction for staging dog fights led to his suspension and then release from the Blazers during the 2004-05 season.
