Golf: The ninth annual PNGA (Pacific Northwest Golf Association) Cup is today through Friday at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. It’s a Ryder Cup-style event featuring 12-member (eight men, four women) teams from Oregon, Washington, Idaho and British Columbia, which won last year.

In what is billed as the biggest event ever at Portland Speedway, polesitter Mike Skinner leads wire-to-wire for 200 laps around the half-mile oval and wins the nationally televised Maxx Race Cards 200 NASCAR SuperTruck race. Attendance is 8,210, a record for the 71-year-old North Portland track. Others in the field include Geoff Bodine, Pancho Carter, hometown favorite Mike Bliss of Milwaukie and football coach Jerry Glanville.
