NNOLI• Chidubem Nnoli's 5-yard touchdown run in overtime allowed the No. 7/8-ranked Wildcats to escape with a win at PLU.

Linfield trailed 3-0 early and 10-7 at the half. The Wildcats pulled even at 10-10 on a 27-yard field goal by Willy Warne with 1:25 remaining in the third quarter.

Linfield improved to 5-0 in the Northwest Conference and 6-1 overall.

The Lutes dropped to 2-3, 2-4.

Pacific Lutheran led in total offense, 292 yards to 185.

Linfield quarterback Wyatt Smith was 6 for 8 passing for 56 yards, and QB Aiden Wilder was 5 of 11 for 10 yards.

The Pios were within 14-9 early in the third quarter, using three field goals by Obed Eriza.

A touchdown pass of 16 yards from Sawyer May to Dalla Garreaud gave Lewis & Clark a touchdown early in the fourth quarter and got the visitors to within 28-15.

• Whitworth led 30-23 after outscoring host Pacific 10-0 in the third quarter at Forest Grove.

The Boxers slipped to 3-3 overall and 3-2 in conference, while the Pirates improved to 6-2, 3-2.

Pacific. which had won three games in a row, finished with a 453-449 edge in total offense.

• Puget Sound trailed 13-0 in the second quarter, with Willamette missing an extra-point kick after its second touchdown.

The Loggers drove for a TD just before the half and scored early in the fourth quarter.

Willamette fell to 0-7, 0-5 NWC.

UPS went to 3-4, 2-3.
