These four athletes with ties to Portland and Oregon have reason to celebrate this week

Nov. 11, 1967

Bill Musgrave (age 50)

A quarterback at the University of Oregon and fourth-round NFL draft pick in 1991, he played six seasons before turning full time to coaching. The native of Grand Junction, Colo., is quarterbacks coach for the Denver Broncos.

HARDINGNov. 12, 1970

Tonya Harding (age 47)

Born in Portland, Harding made two U.S. Olympic figure skating teams and was the national champion and world runner-up in 1991.

Nov. 12, 1990

Adrianna Franch (age 27)

The Portland Thorns' 5-9 goalkeeper was born in Salina, Kansas, and played college soccer at Oklahoma State (2009-12).

Nov. 12, 1998

Marco Farfan (age 19)

From Centennial High, the 5-9, 150-pound defender appeared in six MLS games this season as a rookie with the Portland Timbers.
