A former Oregon Ducks football star and Trail Blazers rookie have reason to celebrate this week

Ahmad Rashad

(age 68)

The award-winning sportscaster starred as a prep in Tacoma, Wash., before serving as a dual threat for Oregon Ducks football.

The All-American running back/receiver then known as Bobby Moore went on to be the No. 4 overall NFL draft pick in 1972 and make four Pro Bowls in an 11-year pro career.

He is a member of the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor and the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame.

Earlier this year, the Trail Blazers made the 7-footer from North Las Vegas the No. 10 pick in the NBA draft, after his one season at Gonzaga.
