SUNDAY COLLEGE BASKETBALL/Oregon State improves to 3-3 with victory in its final game at the AdvoCare Invitational


Oregon State 65, Marist 46

• In their third and final game of the AdvoCare Invitational at Orlando, Florida, the Beavers outscored Marist 9-0 in the opening 2:34, and pulled away late in the game.

OSU got 16 points and seven rebounds from Tres Tinkle at HP Field House, improving to 3-3 this season.

Marist fell to 0-6.

The Red Foxes, of Poughkeepside, New York, stayed close and trailed 28-25 at the half.

Oregon State's Drew Eubanks had 12 points and six rebounds against the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference team, and Beavers freshman Alfred Hollins came off the bench for 12 points and eight rebounds in 10 minutes.

Oregon State's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday at home against Loyola Marymount. That is the first of four in a row at Gill Coliseum, followed by a Beavers visit to Portland to face Saint Louis at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16.
