• A display power lifted UO to its second win in a row in the three-game series of highly ranked teams.SVEKIS

Oregon hit six home runs on Saturday night to back the 12-strikeout, no-walk, four-hit pitching of Miranda Elish (14-1).

Gwen Svekis homered twice. Other HRs came from CJ Sanders, Mary Iakopo, April Utecht and Lauren Lindvall.

The third-ranked Ducks, who won 5-0 on Friday, are 9-2 in the Pac-12 and 34-6 overall.

The No. 7 Sun Devils are 7-5, 33-7.

The series ends with a noon Sunday game.

Oregon State 4, STANFORD 1

• The Beavers beat the Cardinal 4-1 for the second day in a row to clinch a victory in the three-game series.

OSU had seven hits Saturday to five for Stanford. Hope Brandner and Alysha Everett homered for Oregon State, and Meehra Nelson (12-7) worked four scoreless innings as the starter.

OSU is 6-8 in the Pac-12 and 23-17 overall.

Stanford is 2-9, 21-18.

The series finale is noon Sunday.

Portland State 12, NORTHERN COLORADO 4 (5 innings)

• PSU's visit to Greeley, Colorado, turned out to be a productive one, as the Vikings swept the Bears on Saturday after the series was cut in half due to poor weather.

Portland State had 11 hits in Saturday's first game, with sophomore Riley Casper driving in a career-high four RBIs.

The Viks scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to take the nightcap. Kaela Morrow doubled in the tying run, and Rachel Menlove followed with a game-winning double.

Alyssa Burk got credit for both wins, allowing two earned runs on nine hits over 10 1/3 innings and improving to 5-3 this season.

PSU's record went to 12-17 overall and 5-6 in the Big Sky, while Northern Colorado fell to 23-22, 5-6.

• The Pioneers dropped both ends of a road doubleheader by the same score, finishing with 22 hits to the Wildcats' 21.

L&C is 8-22 for the year and 7-19 in the Northwest Conference.

Linfield is 30-8, 22-4.
