Fourth-ranked Ducks take Game 1 from Stanford
OREGON 8, Stanford 4
• The fourth-ranked Ducks tallied their 17th consecutive victory against Stanford to kick off a league series at Jane Sanders Stadium.
DJ Sanders was 3 for 4 with three RBIs for the Ducks, who had 15 hits.
Miranda Elish (15-1) went the distance, allowing six Stanford hits and fanning 12 batters.
Oregon took command with a six-run second inning and led 8-2 after four frames.
The Ducks are 36-7 overall and 10-3 in the Pac-12.
UCLA is 13-3 and Washington 12-3 in conference play. The Bruins beat the Huskies 3-0 on Friday.
Stanford fell to 22-21 for the season and 2-11 in the conference.
Oklahoma 4, OREGON STATE 0
• The No. 2-ranked Sooners got one run in the sixth and three in the seventh to pull out a win in the first of two games against the Beavers.
Oklahoma, which lost 5-2 at Oregon on Thursday, improved to 39-3.
Oregon State slipped to 26-18.
The teams will meet again at noon Saturday in Corvallis.
OSU starter Mariah Mazon (11-11) kept the Sooners off the board until she walked the leadoff batter in the sixth, hit two batters and gave up a one-out single.
Jocelyn Alo's two-run homer keyed Oklahoma in the seventh.
Northwest Nazarene 5, CONCORDIA 2
• The first-place Nighthawks swept the host Cavaliers at Porter Park.
Concordia fell to 5-13 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and 18-22 overall.
In the nightcap, the Cavs' Kelsie Merritt was 2 for 4, and teammate Mckenzie Smith drove in both runs.
Northwest Nazarene is 15-7 GNAC, 24-19.
Central Washington is second in the conference at 13-7.
