The host Cavaliers got balanced scoring as they won a key Great Northwest Athletic Conference game.

The Cavs improved to 3-6 in league and 8-9 overall, while the Wolves fell to 3-6, 6-9.

For Concordia, Keesha Sarman scored 15 points, Jewel Paaluhi-Caulk tallied 12, Olivia Vezaldenos had 11 and Erin Higbie notched her first collegiate double-double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

CU led 17-16 after one quarter and 32-30 at the half. Through three quarters, the Cavaliers were on top 50-49.

WOU failed to score in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter and fell behind 57-49.

Sarman, who played all 40 minutes, added eight assists, five rebounds and four steals. She was 7 of 14 from the field.


Oregon State sophomore Ellie Slama will play in the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur. The 72-golfer event, by invitation only, is set for 54 holes (with a cut to 30 after the first two rounds) the week before the Masters in April.

The first two rounds will take place on the Island and Bluff nines at Champions Retreat Golf Club on Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4.

The entire field will then play Augusta National for an official practice round Friday, April 5.

The final round is at Augusta National on Saturday, April 6.
