Blazers remain vague on NHL
Feb. 14-18, 2002
The Trail Blazers remain vague and apparently undecided on seeking an NHL franchise, as a nine-month NHL 2 Portland campaign concludes.
"We still have question marks abaout hockey, and we continue to look at it," says J.E. Isaac, senior vice president of business affairs. "We haven't decided to buy a team, and we haven't decided not to buy a team."
The Blazers, meanwhile, add eight games to their broadcast schedule — on KPAX (22). But the controversy continues for the club as its Action Sports Cable Network games remain unavailable via AT&T Broadband.
