Two football coaches, one hockey coach and one Portland Winterhawk have reason to celebrate

June Jones (age 66)

The Portland native is offensive coordinator of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League, after leading them to the playoffs as head coach last season. He's a former Portland State and NFL quarterback and ex-NFL and major college head coach who prepped at Grant High

Mike Johnston (age 62)

The Portland Winterhawks' coach/GM/VP was born on this day in Dartmouth, Canada.

Feb. 19, 1964

Gary Andersen (age 55)

A native of Salt Lake City, he's the new head coach at Utah State, not far removed from his 2015-17 stint as head coach at Oregon State.

Feb. 20, 2001

Reece Newkirk (age 18)

He's a 5-11, 170-pound Winterhawks center from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
