Ducks women lose in second round of NCAA Tournament

The Oregon Ducks women's basketball team loses at Iowa State in the second round of the NCAA tournament, 85-70, and finishes 25-6. Center Jenny Mowe leads Oregon with 20 points, going 9 of 9 from the field, and Shaquala Williams adds 16 points.
• The Oregon men reach the NIT semifinals for the first time since 1975.
The Ducks defeat Wyoming 93-72 in a third-round game before a sellout crowd of 9,087 at McArthur Court. A.D. Smith leads the way with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Oregon then tops Texas Christian 77-68 at Fort Worth, Texas, to get to 19-11 under coach Ernie Kent.
Oregon State already finished its season, going 13-14 under fourth-year coach Eddie Payne.
• Fox Sports Northwest says it wants to carry Trail Blazers games in the 1999-2000 season, but hasn't gotten a return call from the Portland front office. The Blazers are the only remaining NBA team using pay-per-view.
