Tim Beckham and Omar Narvaez hit back-to-back homers as Seattle beat Los Angeles Angels 5-3; Jay Bruce and Daniel Vogelbach also homer to back strong pitching

BECKHAMThe Seattle Mariners seem to really enjoy playing road games and against the Los Angeles Angels.

Tim Beckham and Omar Narvaez hit back-to-back ninth-inning homers off Cody Allen to lift the Mariners to a 5-3 win Friday over the Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Mike Trout had tied the game for the Angels with a two-run homer in the eighth inning off Marco Gonzales.

The Mariners (15-8), who recently lost all six games on a homestand, moved to 10-1 in road games and 4-0 against the Angels (8-12).

Seattle scored all their runs on homers. Early in the game, Jay Bruce hit a solo homer, his ninth, and Daniel Vogelbach hit a two-run shot, both off L.A. starter Felix Pena.

Gonzales gave up eight hits and three runs while striking out six and walking two in seven innings. Roenis Elias allowed a hit, but got the final three outs in the ninth inning.

The teams play at 6 p.m. Saturday. Yusei Kikuchi (0-1, 4.23) pitches for Seattle opposite Trevor Cahill (1-1, 4.50).
