The Seattle Mariners are slumping, having lost six consecutive games.
The streak continued Wednesday afternoon at Oakland, as the Athletics hit six home runs in beating the Mariners 10-2.
Jurickson Profar and Mark Canha hit two homers each, and Chad Pinder and Ramon Laureano one each.
Profar drove in four runs and Pinder three. Laureano had three hits.
Tommy Milone gave up three homers and five hits and five runs in 4 1/3 innings.
Oakland moved to 55-41. Homer Bailey, a newly acquired pitcher, gave up seven hits and two runs while striking out six and walking none in six innings.
The Mariners (39-60) had eight hits. They have scored nine runs in the five games since the All-Star break, and 13 runs in the six-game losing streak.
The Athletics outscored the Mariners 19-4 in the two-game set.
Seattle returns to T-Mobile Park for a 10-game homestand against Los Angeles Angels, Texas and Detroit. It starts at 7 p.m. Friday against the Angels; Mike Leake (7-8, 4.60) pitches opposite Jose Suarez (2-1, 5.51).
