Scoresheet: Joey Wong returning to OSU baseball; UP men, Concordia women ranked in soccer

Hops: Hillsboro wraps up a six-game road trip with a Tuesday game at Everett. Then comes a six-game homestand at Ron Tonkin Field. The Hops will face Boise at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Next up will be Tri-City for games at 7 p.m. Saturday, 4 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday.

College baseball: Oregon State will have former infielder Joey Wong, a member of the 2007 national championship team, as an undergraduate assistant coach on Mitch Canham's first staff.

Wong, who played for the Beavers rom 2007-2009, appeared in 37 games this season for the St. Paul Saints of the American Association.

College soccer: The Portland Pilots are ranked 20th in the first United Soccer Coaches Division I men's soccer poll. UP finished 21st last season.

•┬áConcordia women's soccer will begin the NCAA Division II season ranked 22nd in the nation. The Cavaliers return 16 players from a 15-2-3 team that made the national playoffs after capturing the Great Northwest Athletic Conference tournament.
