Timbers' game time changes
Portland's Sept. 15 match against D.C. United at Providence Park will start at 12:30 p.m. and be televised on ESPN.
Originally scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff, the time change is a result of a flex scheduling agreement between MLS and its broadcast partners for the final four weekends of the regular season.
Flex scheduling also is available for games on Sept. 22 and Sept. 29. The Timbers' Sept. 22 home match against Minnesota is scheduled for 1 p.m. and an ESPN broadcast. On Sept. 29, Portland plays at Sporting Kansas City, set for 4:30 p.m.
The final day of the regular season is Oct. 6. All matches that day, including Portland's home game against San Jose, begin at 1 p.m. PT.
• Midfielders Cristhian Paredes, Renzo Zambrano and Andres Flores will miss Saturday's Sporting Kansas City game. Each will join his national team this week for international friendly matches.
Paredes, who has two appearances with Paraguay's national team, will be with the team for games on Saturday at Japan and Sept. 10 at Jordan.
Zambrano, who has made four appearances with Venezuela's national team, has been called up for a Sept. 10 match at Tampa, Florida, against Colombia.
Flores has played 64 times for El Salvador. El Salvador will play host to St. Lucia on Saturday then play on Sept. 10 at the Dominican Republic.
All three Timbers are expected to be back with Portland before the Sept. 15 MLS match against D.C. United.
