Seattle trailed Cincinnati until his two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning off Amir Garrett in 4-3 win

SEAGERKyle Seager faced a tough left-handed reliever Tuesday night, and came out on the winning end.

Seager hit a two-run homer off Cincinnati's Amir Garrett in the bottom of the eighth inning as Seattle beat the Reds 4-3 in an interleague game at T-Mobile Park.

All four Seattle runs came on homers, as Kyle Lewis and Dylan Moore hit solo shots off Reds starter Trevor Bauer. For Lewis, it was his first major-league homer and hit.

Brian O'Grady had put Cincinnati ahead, 3-2, with a pinch-hit two-run homer off reliever Austin Adams in the top of the seventh inning.

Justus Sheffield gave up seven hits and one run in six innings for Seattle; Bauer, the former Cleveland Indians hurler, gave up three hits and two runs in 6 1/3 innings.

The win ended Seattle's six-game losing streak and began a six-game homestand.

The Mariners (59-86) and Reds (67-78) play again at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Marco Gonzales (14-11, 4.37) pitches for Seattle opposite Sonny Gray (10-6, 2.75).
