Houston is a problem
James Harden bombed in 36 points and Russell Westbrook had his third triple-double of the season as Houston pummeled the Trail Blazers 132-108 Monday night at Toyota Center.
Westbrook collected 28 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists as the Rockets (11-3) won their eighth straight game.
CJ McCollum scored 25 points and Damian Lillard accounted for 13 points, 11 assists and six rebounds for Portland (5-9), which fell to 1-1 on a six-game trip that continues Tuesday night in New Orleans.
Clint Capella had 22 points, 20 rebounds and four blocked shots for Houston, which won the battle of the backboards 58-44.
The Rockets made 17 of 45 3-point attempts (.378) while the Blazers were only 11 for 36 (.306) from beyond the arc.
The Blazers led 30-29 after one quarter, but the Rockets outscored them 35-20 in the second half to take a 64-50 advantage into intermission.
Houston led by as many as 28 points in the final period.
