Anthony fuels Blazers win
The Trail Blazers let it all hang out Monday night on the final leg of their six-game road trip.
Carmelo Anthony came through with his best game of the season as Portland dismantled Chicago 117-94 at United Center.
Anthony collected 25 points and eight rebounds in his fourth game as a Blazer. CJ McCollum added 21 points, Rodney Hood scored 16 points, Damian Lillard contributed 13 points and 12 assists and Hassan Whiteside had 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Blazers (6-12), who ended a four-game losing streak.
Portland shot .517 from the field and owned the backboards by a 55-37 count.
Zach Lavine led Chicago (6-12) with 18 points, a far cry from his 49-point performance in the Bulls' last outing, a 116-115 win over Charlotte on Saturday. Chicago was 9 for 39 (.2 31) from 3-point range against Portland.
The Blazers held a 62-54 advantage at halftime, Anthony leading the way with 15 points, including 3 for 5 on 3's.
Portland was on top 92-72 heading into the final period. Chicago got to within 92-77, but the Blazers went on a 13-2 run to go ahead 105-79 and it was over.
Portland, which has played 13 of its first 18 games on the road, returns home to play host to Oklahoma City at 7 p.m.Wednesday at Moda Center.
