Seattle had one run through five innings, but wouldn't be denied in beating the Los Angeles Angels; Kyle Seager, going 3 for 4, stays strong

SEAGERSeattle had one run through five innings, but scored five runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by Dylan Moore's 3-run homer, and persevered to beat the Los Angeles Angels 10-7 Wednesday at Angel Stadium.

The Mariners (2-4) had 13 hits, including three each by Kyle Lewis (who's hitting .458) and Kyle Seager. Also off to a strong start, Seager had three RBIs.

With Seattle leading 8-7 in the eighth inning, J.P. Crawford stroked a two-run single to provide cushion.

Dylan Moore and Crawford each had two hits.

Shohei Ohtani hit a 3-run homer for L.A. (2-4) and Brian Goodwin and Justin Upton hit solo shots. Mike Trout had three hits.

Seattle relievers Taylor Williams, Anthony Misiewicz and Dan Altavilla each pitched scoreless innings to help finish the game.

The teams play the series finale at 6:40 p.m. Thursday. Marco Gonzales pitches for Seattle opposite Dylan Bundy.
