• Pro golf at Pumpkin Ridge — Medford native Dylan Wu is among those expected to contend for the title at the WinCo Foods Portland Open, the Korn Ferry Tour event happening Thursday through Sunday at Pumpkin Ridge.
Wu enters the tournament third on the tour in scoring average and fourth in driving accuracy and in birdie average. Wu tees off at 7:52 a.m. Thursday.
There are no fans allowed at this event because of COVID-19. Television covderage on Golf Channel is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 3-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
• NBA Wednesday — The Portland Trail Blazers can close the gap on the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference when they take on the Denver nuggets at 5 p.m. Thursday (NBCSN) in the NBA bubble at Orlando, Florida.
