Seattle pitching gives up 13 hits, 11 walks and three home runs by Jo Adell (two) and Mike Trout (one)

TROUTIt wasn't a fun night Saturday for the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium.

The Los Angeles Angels rode a six-RBI performance by Mike Trout and two home runs by Jo Adell to a 16-3 win over the Mariners.

The Angels (12-22) had 13 hits and benefitted from 11 walks and two hit batters by Seattle pitching.

Shed Long Jr. hit a solo homer for Seattle (13-22).

Trout had three hits, including a three-run homer, and drove in six runs and scored four runs. Adell, an Angels prospect, hit the first two homers of his major-league career.

Seattle starter Justus Sheffield gave up four hits and six runs while striking out six and walking four in 4 2/3 innings. Even outfielder Tim Lopes took the mound in the loss, giving up a couple runs and hits in an inning.

Dylan Bundy gave up four hits and one run in 5 1/3 innings for the win.

The teams play at 1:10 p.m. Sunday. Justin Dunn pitches for Seattle opposite Griffin Canning.
