Seattle uses three-run eighth inning to win 5-3; Justus Sheffield throws another solid game

MARMOLEJOSThe Seattle Mariners are suddenly dominating Texas, winning five consecutive games.

The Mariners scored three eighth-inning runs to beat the Rangers 5-3 Saturday at T-Mobile Park.

Justin Dunn pitches for the Mariners (17-22) opposite Jordan Lyles of the Rangers (13-23) in the series' third game, 1:10 p.m. Sunday.

Jose Marmolejos hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the eighth inning, followed by RBI hits by Evan White and Phillip Ervin.

Justus Sheffield gave up eight hits and two runs while striking out six and walking one in seven innings.

Shin-Soo Choo had four hits, including a solo homer, and Anderson Tejada also homered for Texas.
