Dylan Moore and Ty France homer, but Seattle manages only one other hit in loss at Arizona.

Arizona built an early lead and held on to beat Seattle 4-3 Friday at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. It was the Mariners' third consecutive loss after six wins in a row.

The Mariners had three hits, but two of them went over the fence — homers by Dylan Moore and Ty France.

Jose Marmolejos had an RBI single for Seattle's other run.

The Diamondbacks (17-29) led 3-0 after one inning. Christian Walker had an RBI triple.

France's eighth-inning homer made it 4-3, but the Mariners (19-25) couldn't get the equalizer.

Arizona pitchers Caleb Smith, Alex Young and Stefan Crichton combined to hold down the Seattle offense.

Seattle starter Yusei Kikuchi gave up six hits and four runs while striking out five and walking one in six innings.

The teams play at 5:10 p.m. Saturday. Justus Sheffield pitches for Seattle opposite Zac Gallen.
